My Qualifications
Midwifery Qualifications I have worked as a Midwife for over 25 years in the UK, Australia and Ireland. I hold the following midwifery qualifications:
- Registered Midwife
- Advanced Diploma in Midwifery
- Msc Advanced Midwifery Practice
- Diploma in Education
Please note: I will not be providing clinical midwifery care or advice, however if I have a concern I will recommend the woman sees an appropriate medical practitioner
Coaching Qualifications
I have completed the Professional Coaching Skills Certificate Programme with
Coaching Development Ltd (www.coachingdevelopment.com) HETAC level 7 Special Purpose
Award at Limerick Institute of Technology, Ireland. The training programme comprises of 135
tutor-contact hours of experiential and theoretical learning, and 32 hours of additional
coaching experience and is International Coach
Federation (ICF) approved.
I work as a coach adhering and complying with my membership of the International Coach Federation (ICF) (www.coachingfederation.org), it’s Code of Ethics and it’s core competencies for practice. I also comply with the Nursing and Midwifery regularity body (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland) (www.nursingboard.ie), it’s legal requirements (Nurses and Midwives Act 2011), Rules and Standards in particular the Code of Professional Conduct for Each Nurse and Midwife, and Practice Standards for Midwives. All of the above standards and codes are available on the links shown above.
I undertake coaching supervision by an ICF accredited supervisor every ten sessions of coaching or more if it is deemed appropriate. I belong to a regional coaching circle where I can practice, access peer review and resources. Through my memberships I have insurance cover from ICF and IMNO.
